Portfolio Showcase: Animation Creation

I was trying to think of something a little different to show. I've played around a bit with some very basic animations in Photoshop and Image Ready in the past, but I don't think I've ever posted them, so here's one I thought would be fun to show.

This is the first one I ever did, with the help of my good friend Howard Porter. Howard walked me through the step-by-step of creating an animated gif, which I then used to do, well, a step-by-step... of how to draw Roboy Red. I posted the original tutorial a while back. Here's the result of this experiment(click the link below the screenshot to see the animation):

Obviously, I'm no pro at this, but it is something I plan to do more of, and as I do them, I'll post them here.

I hope you all (both...?) have a very happy and healthy Independence Day.

Best,
Rich

Hey Rich,
Welcome back.
It was cool meeting you @ HeoresCon.
Thanks for signing that copy of Nascar Heroes for me.

That's an awesome animation of the drawing of Roboy Red. Hope you post more animations in the future.

Hope you had a great Independence Day.

Later.

Hey Rich, great instructional stuff on how to draw Roboy Red!

Hey, I really liked this year's free comic book from Sky Dog for during FCBD. The Roboy Red comic was fun!

Btw,

Any idea when the TPB is going to be released for Sidekicks Rule? It is scheduled to come out any time. But my LCBS says that it's been cancelled. Any idea about this?

Thanks!

Thanks, Emilio. It was nice to meet you too. You're welcome about the signature. It's no problem. That's why I do cons!

Thanks about the tutorial. I'll be sure to post more, as I have them.

Thank you too, Volt! Glad you liked the FCBD book. We're really proud of the Roboy story. It really reflects the tone of the eventual graphic novel.

As for "Sidekicks..," technically, it was canceled, but the book will still be coming out. It will be resolicited soon. It's finished, but due to unforeseen circumstances unrelated to the book, John had to push back the release date. As soon as I have more info on the new release date, I'll be sure to post here, so please check back. Thanks for the question!

Best,
Rich
