Weird Verification!

For the weekend, I'll leave with this strange little bit... In the previous post, I responded to some nice folks who were kind enough to visit and comment on my little endeavor here. When I signed in to post my response comment, here's the form I found. Keeping in mind my last name, check out the word verification "word":

Random or conspiracy...? Hmmm...

Have a nice weekend!

Best,
Rich

Rich- thanks so much for the kind words about my artwork, and for taking the time to do a "double post" to be sure I got the message.
I stopped by your website for a look at the Karloff and Chaney illos- Awesome work man!! I started a portrait of Lon as the Phantom of The Opera, but chose to attempt it in watercolors- need to revisit that piece, it stalled about midway through. Amazing work on your comic book inking, I have been trying some of that myself lately, and I am really digging it. I am heading to the San Diego Comic Con to shop around my portfoilo to see if I can scrounge up a bit of work. It has always been a dream of mine to work as a comic book artist, and I made it a goal to refocus on that this year... Anyway I will stop rambling- thanks again, I will be back to see what kind of new goodies you have here!

Patrick,

My pleasure, and thanks for stopping by again, as well as for the nice comments about my work!

I'll be in San Diego too. John Gallagher and I will be set up with Jimmy Gownley at an exhibitors booth, listed under Amelia Rules and Buzzboy (the book we work on together), so feel free to stop by. I'd love to see your work in person. Good luck in the search for comics work. It's a tough field, I have to be honest, but with talent and the right breaks, you can make quite a career out of it.

Talk to you soon!

Best,
Rich

Rich!
Wanna thank you again for taking time to look over my work- and for leaving the insightful and helpful comment about my inking. I am actually a big fan of using the brush and I used to use it quite a bit in the past. As you can probably tell, I am a bit of a "control" freak with my lines, thus the prefence for the pens- it has been a while tho and I am gonna have to break out the brushes and take another stab at it. I am currently inking another page, this time using a brush pen. Maybe for the page after I will take a shot at using a real brush! Wish I was closer to your area, would be helpful to take one of your classes!! Have a great weekend, and thanks again!!!

Hi Patrick,

No problem. My pleasure! I hope it goes well for you with the brush. Can't wait to see the results!
